Mornington BESS, located in Tyabb on the Mornington Peninsula, is a 240 MW / 480 MWh Battery Energy Storage System developed by Valent Energy. It connects to the Tyabb Terminal Station through AusNet Services infrastructure and will store renewable energy to power ≈ 40,000 homes. DIS Fire Systems was engaged by ACLE to deliver the sitewide fire detection, alarm and warning system integration for this landmark renewable-energy facility

Ruakākā Energy Park in Northland is Meridian Energy’s 100 MW battery energy storage system. Working with SAFT, DIS Fire provided fire engineering, compliance testing and commissioning of the fire detection and suppression systems on the battery containers, verifying them against New Zealand requirements before handover.

Tallawarra B is EnergyAustralia’s 320 MW open cycle gas turbine, designed to operate on a blend of natural gas and hydrogen, making it Australia’s first hydrogen ready power station. DIS Fire Systems was engaged to design and supply the fire protection package for the critical electrical and switchroom modules, ensuring safe operation under hydrogen enriched conditions.

DIS Fire is delivering fire suppression system site works and commissioning for a SAFT battery energy storage system in the Republic of Palau. This project is currently in delivery.

DIS Fire provides fire suppression system servicing and commissioning support to SAFT for a battery energy storage system in Exmouth, Western Australia, supporting reliable operation at a remote coastal site.

Working with SAFT on Genesis Energy’s battery energy storage system at Huntly, DIS Fire provided fire engineering, certification and commissioning of the fire detection and suppression systems to Australian and New Zealand standards. The scope covered verification of the networked central fire panel and container panels, testing of every detection device with smoke and CO test gas, cause and effect verification, Modbus integration, commissioning documentation and operator training.

DIS Fire carries out the ten yearly inspection and exchange of IG541 inert gas cylinder banks, covering both main and reserve banks, at the OneSKY data centres in Melbourne and Brisbane. The work keeps these critical facilities protected and compliant, with cylinder exchanges planned around continuous operations.

DIS Fire has supplied and supported fire protection across several NEXTDC data centres, including aspirating smoke detection and fire panel equipment for new data halls, replacement of an IG55 inert gas suppression system, lithium ion battery off gas detection, and pressure relief dampers for battery rooms at a Brisbane facility.

The Terang Battery Energy Storage System is a 100 MW / 200 MWh facility beside the Terang Terminal Station in south west Victoria, comprising 48 battery containers across 1.4 hectares. DIS Fire Systems delivered the complete fire protection scope, covering design, supply, installation and commissioning, along with documentation to support CFA and local authority compliance.

Bluegrass BESS forms part of the Blue Grass Solar Farm on the Warrego Highway near Chinchilla, QLD. The project includes around 60 Narada battery energy storage containers providing renewable power to the Western Downs region. DIS Fire Systems delivered the full commissioning scope for the fire detection and hydrant network, developing ITPs, ITRs, and SAT documents for client handover.
